Fast food is taking over many people’s lives living around the world. Many people all over the United States are overweight or obese due to eating so much fast food. Fast food affects peoples physical weight, emotional and mental health and media influence. There are no advantages to eating fast food, especially at a young age. Fast food is a scary road to turn down as a young kid growing up into an adult. Fast food is pretty much its own simple definition when you think about it, it is literally â€Å"fast food† that is made in short periods of time. Eating so much fast food will eventually lead to being overweight or obesity. Obesity in children is affecting not only their health but even their performance in school and ho me. They become more lazy and tired which causes them not to complete any work for school. Certain health conditions come with eating so much fast and unhealthy food. Health complications include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and even bone problems just to name a few. Fast food is slowly killing people but they fail to realize it because the food tastes so good. Maintaining a healthy diet instead of eating fast food, and having some regular physical activities each day will help prevent obesity or becoming overweight any day. Some will say that fast food only affects your physical health but it strongly affects your mental and emotional health as well. A person’s social life is greatly tested especially if they are letting fast food take over their life. They stop hanging out with friends and family, stop going to family gatherings and even stop showing up for holidays because they are ashamed of themselves. Depression is probably bound to happen which could lead to suicide. If the person does not have support from their family, it could have them turn to fast food.
